About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Assistant to join our team at 876 Structures Designz & Construction Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load, Unload, and Transport Construction Materials: Assist in the safe and efficient transportation of construction materials to and from the work site.
  • Assist in Demolishing Buildings: Collaborate with skilled tradespersons to dismantle and remove buildings, ensuring a safe and controlled environment.
  • Clean and Pile Salvaged Materials: Organize and clean salvaged materials, preparing them for reuse or disposal.
  • Remove Rubble and Debris: Assist in the removal of rubble and debris from construction sites, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Tend or Feed Machines: Operate and maintain construction equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Direct Traffic: Assist in directing traffic at or near construction sites, ensuring the safety of workers and the general public.
  • Assist Skilled Tradespersons: Provide support to skilled tradespersons, including carpenters, electricians, and plumbers, as needed.
Work Environment and Physical Capabilities
  • Work at Heights: Assist in tasks that require working at heights, adhering to safety protocols and guidelines.
  • All Weather Conditions: Work in various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and quality in all tasks.
  • Ability to Work Independently: Work independently, with minimal supervision, and as part of a team.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a willingness to learn and develop skills is essential.
  • Weight Handling: Ability to lift and handle materials up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Team player, punctual, and positive attitude.
  • Experience: Willingness to train and learn on the job.
