Job Title: Chief Risk Officer

About the Role:

The Chief Risk Officer will be responsible for overseeing the Fidelity Clearing Canada risk function, identifying and monitoring regulatory obligations and risks, and providing strategic direction and vision for the Risk function across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the strategic oversight of FCC's Risk Framework to ensure continual development, communication, and success of FCC's Risk Management program.
  • Manage significant risk issues/events, including assessment, root cause analysis, communication, and review and validation of remediation actions to prevent reoccurrence.
  • Develop regular reporting and formally present to Senior Management, the Risk and Controls Committee, and the Audit Committee of the Board on the status of FCC's Risk Programs.
  • Lead or participate in cross-Fidelity projects, ensuring operational risks are properly assessed.
  • Communicate new risk programs/initiatives and changes to existing programs effectively across the organization and provide appropriate training where required.

Requirements:

  • University degree or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in risk management and risk programs.
  • Prior experience in a compliance and back-office operations role.
  • 10+ years of experience at the management level.
  • Professional designation or certificate in risk management or internal control.
