Position Overview
As a Senior Regulatory Affairs Consultant at CIBC, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our regulatory strategy and managing our relationships with global prudential regulators. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Global Regulatory Affairs.

Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Advisory: Provide proactive guidance to CIBC's business units by identifying, interpreting, and evaluating the implications of regulatory changes.
- Regulatory Engagement: Lead communications and interactions with regulators, including managing regulatory reviews and responding to ad hoc requests.
- Portfolio Management: Oversee regulatory interactions within complex portfolios, which may encompass Risk Management, Corporate Finance, and Treasury, ensuring alignment with CIBC's products and services.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Stay informed on policy and legislative changes that may impact CIBC's objectives, translating these developments for internal stakeholders and assisting in drafting responses to regulators.
- Relationship Management: Collaborate with teams undergoing regulatory examinations, centralizing the management of regulatory information requests and providing counsel as needed.

Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a regulatory advisory capacity within the Financial Services sector.
- A strong understanding of regulatory compliance, internal controls, audit, or legal matters.
- An undergraduate or master's degree in business, finance, financial risk management, or a related field.
- Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively.
