This role involves delivering exceptional noise assessments, conducting pre-and-post construction noise surveys, modeling noise impacts, and offering noise mitigation strategies to our clients. You will engage in a variety of projects, including those within our air quality and civil engineering sectors. This is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced acoustic professional aiming to elevate their career with a global leader in sustainability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver innovative and tailored acoustical analyses for client initiatives.
- Assist in the creation of noise assessments, encompassing baseline noise surveys and noise impact modeling for airborne noise projects.
- Evaluate data sourced from web-based research, aerial imagery, and survey reports to determine construction noise impacts.
- Serve as the 'Subject Matter Expert' for noise impact analysis in Environmental Assessments and Impact Statements across various jurisdictions.
- Collaborate with ERM's Acoustical Technical Community to ensure thorough technical reviews of documents and support the growth of our acoustical services globally.
- Engage in agency consultations; participate in site visits, agency, and public meetings as required.
- Draft scope of work, timelines, and cost estimates for noise impact studies.
- Contribute to business development and marketing efforts by attending conferences, client site visits, and marketing meetings.
- Adhere to quality, budget, and schedule expectations while managing specific assignments.
- Complete tasks in alignment with ERM's management system, format, and quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental or Civil Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Over 10 years of experience in a professional services environment is preferred.
- Proficiency in noise modeling software such as SoundPlan, CadnaA, or Predictor.
- Strong organizational skills for data management.
- Professional designation is a plus.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access).
- Commitment to safety, including adherence to established Health & Safety protocols.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical capabilities, including experience in drafting detailed technical reports.
- A collaborative team player with a strong desire to learn and grow, demonstrating initiative and a service-oriented mindset.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
