GEMTEC Consulting Engineers & Scientists Limited is a leading firm in the field of environmental science and consulting. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hydrogeologist Specialist to join our team.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement hydrogeological programs, including proposal preparation and budget management.
- Manage and supervise a wide range of hydrogeological field programs, including drilling, coring, and sampling.
- Lead consulting projects from proposal to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Prepare and present technical reports, including data synthesis, assessment, and interpretation.
- Collaborate with clients and regulators to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor junior staff members.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Bachelor's and Master's degree in Earth Science, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
- Registration with Professional Geoscientists Ontario or Professional Engineers Ontario.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in consulting.
- Strong knowledge of physical hydrogeology, including hydrogeological site characterization and hydraulic testing.
- Experience with software packages related to physical hydrogeology, such as Aqtesolv and Surfer.
- Knowledge of Ontario's regulatory framework for groundwater takings and source water protection.
