Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Security Guard to join our team. As a Security Guard, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our people, property, and information.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deter all criminal activity and conduct security interviews as required.
  • Write detailed reports on suspicious behaviors and security incidents.
  • Request assistance from law enforcement as needed and respond to security incidents according to policy.
  • Utilize quick decision-making skills and sound judgment to act in accordance with site security policy and procedures.
  • Engage in professional radio operations and keep Security Agents and Supervisors informed of all pertinent incidents and activities.
  • May be required to act as a Field Training Agent, training new members of the team in policy and procedures.
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections and provide outstanding internal and external customer service.
  • May be assigned to special events and other duties as required.
Requirements
  • Age: Minimum of 18 years
  • Able to pass a Drug and Alcohol Test (Pre-Screening)
  • Possesses a Class 5 (Non-novice) Driver's License, will be required to provide a 5-year Drivers Abstract (Upon Hiring)
  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada at time of application
  • Of Good Character, who acts in lawful and ethical matters
  • Strong communication skills (speaking, writing, and reading) understanding of the English Language.
  • Physically Fit: Fit for Duty, able to lift 80lbs
Education/Training
  • Certificate from a Saskatchewan Justice approved Security Guard Training Course (Preferred)
  • Grade 12 Education Completion or GED equivalent (Preferred)
  • Understanding of Criminal Justice or Criminology
Skills
  • Work harmoniously within a team environment and demonstrate effective problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to comprehend and produce reports.
  • Proficient WPM skills, strong experience with Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task at a high level.
  • Must possess Knowledge of Security.
  • Must be proficient in the English Language, both verbal and written, as well as demonstrated ability to write legibly.

Assets/Desired Qualifications

Qualified candidates will undergo a detailed, comprehensive interview process, including an aptitude test. Only qualified candidates will be contacted at this time.

Please note that this site requires drug and alcohol testing prior to hiring, and applicants must be willing to take a drug and alcohol test. Additionally, this site has a facial hair policy, and any facial hair below the upper lip is non-negotiable.

Applicants must possess a Saskatchewan Security Guard Course Certificate/License (or be able to obtain one within 90-days) and a Standard First Aid with CPR-C & AED Certificate (Preferred). WHMIS 2015 training is also required.

Shift availability includes Day Shift, Night Shift, and Overnight Shift. Work location is in person.
