Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Food Service Worker to join our team at Askew's Food Service Ltd. As a Food Service Worker, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the smooth operation of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to meet customer demands.
    • Portion and wrap foods to ensure quality and presentation.
    • Take customers' orders and provide accurate information about menu items.
  • Cleanliness and Sanitation
    • Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand to maintain high standards of cleanliness.
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide exceptional customer service to ensure customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience
    • Previous experience in a food service environment is an asset.
  • Physical Demands
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 25 kg).
  • Personal Qualities
    • Reliability and punctuality.
    • Team player with excellent communication skills.
