BLUE NIGHT TRANSPORT LTD. is seeking a skilled and experienced Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely transporting goods and materials across various locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Load and Unload Goods: Safely load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
- Operate and Drive Trucks: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Regularly inspect and maintain the condition of the vehicle, including tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
- Communication: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring seamless communication and coordination.
- Record Keeping: Accurately record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
- Cargo Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo through proper tarping and handling procedures.
- Dangerous Goods: Transport and handle dangerous goods in accordance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Certifications: Possess a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
- Documentation: Familiarity with bill of lading, driver logbook, and inspection reports.
- Trucking Experience: Proven experience in long-haul trucking, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Security Clearance: Possess basic security clearance.
