About the Role

Central Barbers and Stylists is seeking a skilled Barber Stylist to join our team. As a Barber Stylist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional haircut and styling services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and Style Hair: Cut and trim hair according to client's instructions or preferences.
  • Shave and Trim: Shave and trim beards and mustaches.
  • Hair Treatment: Provide other hair treatment, such as waving, straightening and tinting and also provide scalp conditioning massages.
  • Colouring Techniques: Apply bleach, tints, dyes or rinses to colour, frost or streak hair.
  • Wig and Hair Piece Styling: Clean and style wigs and hair pieces.
  • Hairstyling Advice: Suggest hair style compatible with client's physical features and preferences.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Barber Licence.
  • Skills: Bleach, Dyes/tints, Frosting, Streaking/highlights.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Manual dexterity, Attention to detail, Hand-eye co-ordination, Combination of sitting, standing, walking, Standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Qualities: Client focus, Dependability, Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Judgement, Reliability, Team player.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
  • Financial Benefits: Bonus, Permanent employment, English language, 30 to 40 hours per week.
