Cook's Helper Job Description

Claude et Marcel Martin inc. is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Cook's Helper to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our food preparation and service areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist cooks and kitchen staff with food preparation, including washing, peeling, and cutting vegetables and fruits.
  • Operate dishwashers and wash dishes, glassware, and flatware by hand.
  • Stock refrigerators and salad bars, and receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
  • Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
  • Handle and store cleaning products, and remove kitchen garbage and trash.
  • Assist with food portioning, wrapping, and packaging, as well as preparing, heating, and finishing simple food items.
Requirements:
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position with 35 to 40 hours of work per week. The work language is French, and free parking is available on site.
