Your Opportunity:

Alberta Health Services is seeking a skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team in the North Zone. As a member of our Intake Team, you will play a critical role in responding to callers and conducting tele-triage of addiction and mental health calls. Your expertise will be essential in determining the appropriate level of service required for each caller, enrolling them in AHS AMH services, and providing immediate brief intervention and solution-focused support. You will work collaboratively with a virtual team to provide expanded intake services for North Zone community clinics, supporting clients across the age continuum, including those in rural and remote areas.

About the Role:

As the Mental Health Therapist, you will be responsible for using a variety of treatment modalities to provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment. You will work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide high-quality care to individuals experiencing significant mental health difficulties.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing with training and experience in mental health assessment and provision of psychotherapy
  • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
