About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Carpenter/Labourer to join our team at Lake Country Co-operative. As a key member of our Construction Team, you will be responsible for assisting skilled trades persons in performing construction activities at residential, commercial, and agricultural construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver outstanding guest service at all points of contact and through various communication channels
- Assist with erecting and dismantling of forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, and barricades
- Operate and maintain various power tools; tend or feed machines or equipment used in construction such as mixers, compressors, and pumps
- Remove rubble and other debris at job sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
- Follow company policies and procedures related to safety and asset protection
Requirements:
- Knowledge of job site safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health & Safety)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and have knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Physical fitness and ability to lift, load, carry and hold products
- Valid Class 5 driver's license
- Willingness to obtain required safety tickets and certifications
