Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Machining Supervisor to oversee our machining operations at Matrix North American Construction Ltd. This role involves managing a team and ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications
  • Education: Completion of a trades certificate or diploma in machining or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a supervisory role within the machining industry.
Work Environment

The position requires working in various settings, including:

  • Outdoor environments
  • At heights
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and maintain production reports.
  • Conduct training sessions for team members.
  • Coordinate and schedule daily activities to optimize workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Order necessary materials, equipment, and supplies.
  • Set up and maintain machines and equipment.
  • Supervise a team of 11-15 workers, including machinists, welders, and toolmakers.
  • Utilize CNC machines effectively in production processes.
Supervisory Responsibilities

You will be responsible for leading a diverse team, including:

  • Boilermakers
  • Machinists and machining inspectors
  • Tool and die makers
  • Welders
Certifications

Relevant certifications include:
