Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Northcott Care Centre, a 73-bed long term care facility in Ponoka, Alberta.

Responsibilities:
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
  • Assess and provide care to residents, including wound care and mobility assistance.
  • Prevent or treat injuries and illnesses, and provide emergency care as needed.
  • Teach, counsel, and advocate for residents to enhance their health and well-being.
  • Coordinate and monitor the provision of healthcare services, including medication management and resident care planning.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to evaluate and implement resident care plans.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current CLPNA registration.
  • Experience in long-term care is an asset, but not required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to providing high-quality care.
