We are seeking a highly skilled Supplier Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at PACCAR. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of our suppliers and their products.
Key Responsibilities- Supplier Identification and Assessment: Identify, assess, and develop new PACCAR suppliers to meet our quality requirements.
- Quality Liaison: Function as a quality liaison with suppliers regarding quality issues and provide guidance on quality improvement.
- Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP): Lead suppliers through APQP for new product introduction and ensure compliance with PACCAR's quality requirements.
- Supplier Performance Management: Work closely with assigned suppliers to improve overall performance, including the identification, communication, documentation, and follow-up of corrective actions, predictive performance models, and development needs.
- Supplier Evaluation: Perform evaluations of supplier's capabilities in meeting PACCAR's quality requirements.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Interface with North American, Mexican, and European purchasing, engineering, materials, plant operations, and suppliers on current quality issues.
- Supplier Readiness Reviews (SRRs): Conduct SRRs at new supplier locations to ensure they meet PACCAR's quality standards.
- Part Verification Submission, Tracking, and Reporting (PPAP): Assist with supplier part verification submission, tracking, and reporting.
- Timely and Comprehensive Reporting: Support timely and comprehensive reporting of assigned supplier quality status.
- Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or Purchasing Experience: Minimum 3-4 years of progressively complex quality situations.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Demonstrated problem-solving ability gained through experience in related fields.
- Quality Methods: Proficient in quality methods used to achieve best-in-class product and process performance.
- Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
- Negotiation and Analytical Skills: Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
- Organization and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organization and interpersonal skills.
- Project Management Experience: Project management experience preferred.
- Conflict Management: Ability to manage conflict across functional and corporate boundaries.
- GD&T, Engineering Drawings, and Specifications: Working knowledge of and ability to read, understand, and interpret GD&T, engineering drawings, and specifications.
- Team Facilitation: Demonstrated ability to facilitate team efforts and work under minimal supervision.
- Automotive APQP Expertise: Automotive APQP expertise.
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or Technical Discipline: Required.
- Applicants with Non-Engineering or Technical Discipline: Applicants with a four-year degree in a non-engineering or technical discipline will be considered if they possess at least five years' experience in a related field.
- Advanced Certification: Advanced certification preferred (PE, CQE, CQA, CMQ).
- Six Sigma / Lean / Green Belt Training: Six Sigma / Lean / Green belt training (or willingness to complete training).
- PC-Based Computer Proficiency: Must possess PC-based computer proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
