Job Title: Senior Principal, Cloud Platform Engineer

Questrade Financial Group (QFG) is seeking a highly experienced Senior Principal, Cloud Platform Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and efficient cloud infrastructure solutions that support our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the strategic planning and architecture for cloud infrastructure across multiple clouds (Google Cloud Platform, AWS, Azure)
  • Develop and execute comprehensive cloud strategies for large organizations
  • Lead large-scale cloud migration and transformation projects
  • Ensure cloud security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management
  • Collaborate with development and architecture teams to ensure cloud solutions are scalable, secure, and efficient
Requirements:
  • At least 10+ years of experience in cloud computing, including significant experience in a leadership or advisory role
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing and executing comprehensive cloud strategies for large organizations
  • Proven track record of leading large-scale cloud migration and transformation projects
  • Extensive experience with cloud security frameworks, regulatory compliance, and risk management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills
  • Excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to write clean and efficient code in at least one programming language
  • Expertise in infrastructure as code (IaC), automation tools, and modern software development practices
