Our team of experienced therapists is dedicated to providing high-quality care to our clients, and we are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our Driver Rehabilitation Program and Community OT Return to Function and Return to Work programs.

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Occupational Therapist to work with our team in Victoria and surrounding areas. As a Driver Rehabilitation Specialist, you will be responsible for conducting Functional Driving Evaluations, Vehicle Modification Evaluations, and developing Driver Rehabilitation programs for clients with a range of limitations arising from concussion/brain injury, CVA, anxiety/PTSD, and physical issues. You will also work with a diverse group of funders to assist clients in achieving their goals and returning to meaningful activities.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct Functional Driving Evaluations and Vehicle Modification Evaluations to assess clients' driving abilities and develop recommendations for vehicle modifications
  • Develop and implement Driver Rehabilitation programs to help clients regain their independence and return to driving
  • Work with clients' healthcare teams, vehicle modification vendors, and payer representatives to ensure seamless care coordination
  • Collaborate with our team to provide high-quality care and achieve excellent outcomes for our clients
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year experience addressing driving-related limitations with clients as part of an overall caseload
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with individuals who have physical, mental health, or brain injuries, or any combination thereof
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable vehicle to use for clinical appointments
  • Experience working with agency payers is a strong asset
  • Commitment to continuous learning through professional development courses
  • Current member of COTBC or eligible for registration
