About the RoleThis is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of occupational therapists and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to our residents. As an Occupational Therapist Supervisor, you will be responsible for coordinating the designated program, supervising staff, and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the designated program, including supervising staff and promoting interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Establish program priorities, coordinate work assignments, and monitor and evaluate designated program outcomes.
- Act as a clinical resource for team members and students, providing direct assessment and intervention to residents and maintaining resident records.
- Coordinate ongoing team planning, evaluation, and quality improvement activities, and participate in approved research.
- Participate in and/or lead internal and external committees, meetings, and corporate initiatives.
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- Current full registration as an occupational therapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC.
- Three years' recent related clinical occupational therapy experience, including one year in a supervisory/leadership role in the designated clinical area.
- Considerable knowledge of evidence-based clinical practice related to long term care.
- Broad knowledge of occupational therapy theory and practice within a resident-centred model of care.
- Demonstrated ability to provide supervision, direction, and clinical guidance to others in a team-based environment.
