The Quality Control Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the excellence of the plants cultivated at Hendriks Greenhouses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough inspections of plants to assess health, identify diseases, and detect pests, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and quality assurance protocols.
- Verify that all plants align with the established quality benchmarks and specifications set by the company.
- Work closely with the production team to adopt best practices and implement necessary corrective measures.
- Adapt to diverse greenhouse environments, including elevated temperatures and humidity levels.
- Document and report on the quality status of plants consistently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Possess the physical capability to lift and transport plants, tools, and equipment.
- Demonstrate the ability to perform repetitive tasks and remain standing for extended periods.
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in quality control is preferred.
- Post-secondary education in quality assurance or a related discipline.
- Experience in greenhouse operations is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Excel and other computer applications.
- Strong attention to detail and effective time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Safety footwear is mandatory.
- Must be a self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Availability to work evenings and weekends during peak periods is essential.
