About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Pension Accounting and Reporting. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for leading the daily operation, overall operating model, and project delivery of our Pension Accounting and Reporting department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive initiatives to streamline, standardize, and effectively implement operational changes, encompassing operations and system enhancements.
  • Envision and orchestrate future-oriented strategies and planning endeavors to optimize operations, adopt industry-leading practices, and perpetuate a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Cultivate a culture of coaching, career development, and performance management.
  • Navigate and adhere to Canada's regulatory and industry standard landscape governing pension accounting and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal enterprise stakeholders and industry authorities to accurately represent and support business needs.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of financial industry experience specifically in asset servicing for pension funds or pension plans.
  • Ability to set strategic direction and drive execution towards achieving organizational goals.
  • Proficiency in implementing and optimizing Pension Accounting and pension Reporting processes to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Understanding of financial principles, including risk management, cost optimization, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of Canada's regulatory requirements and industry standards governing pension funds.
  • Familiarity and experience with end-to-end Pension fund Accounting and Reporting process flow.
  • Capability to develop and execute long-term strategies for Pension Accounting and Reporting operations, aligning with organizational objectives and market trends.
