Job Summary

Crombie is seeking a skilled Property Maintenance Worker to join our Operations team at the Highland Square Mall. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the efficient and effective operation of the property, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for tenants and visitors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing tenant concerns and working with tenants and the public in a positive and respectful manner.
  • Perform routine and non-routine maintenance duties, including snow removal, lawn care, and exterior painting.
  • Assist with day-to-day operations, service, and maintenance of all areas of the site and surrounding properties.
  • Monitor building systems, pressure wash, and clean maintenance equipment.
  • Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings, and clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
  • Effectively communicate issues to the Property Manager and/or Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Meet with contractors for service calls and provide supervised access to mechanical rooms if required.
  • Perform monthly water meter readings and monthly property tenant inspections at sites where required.
  • Monitor contractors to ensure duties are performed properly and communicate issues to Maintenance Supervisor for resolution.
  • Understand the importance of safety in the workplace and follow all health and safety procedures.
  • Respond to emergency situations, including fire alarms, floods, vehicular and pedestrian accidents.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of maintenance-related experience and knowledge of building operations is considered an asset.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Proven time management and organizational skills.
  • Clear criminal record check.
  • Capability to meet the role's medium physical demand level.
