The Opportunity

As a dedicated Financial Solutions Consultant with Co-operators, you will embody an entrepreneurial spirit. You are a driven business developer who will oversee your own insurance agency with comprehensive support from a well-established organization. In your role as an independent contracted Financial Solutions Consultant, you will forge strong, visible connections within the community and nurture enduring relationships with your clients. Utilizing our exclusive technology, tools, and methodologies, you will assist Canadians in evaluating, defining, and implementing strategies to fulfill their financial security requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and engaging potential clients to discuss risk management and financial objectives, while conducting reviews to empower informed decision-making. Building robust community relationships to enhance agency visibility and maximize new business opportunities, contributing to sales and growth targets. Crafting and executing business, operational, and marketing strategies, while supporting sustainability initiatives to bolster community resilience. Recruiting, selecting, coaching, and mentoring team members, managing performance to facilitate their growth and achieve agency objectives. Ensuring compliance with licensing requirements, ethical standards, and adherence to corporate policies, industry regulations, and legal guidelines.

What to Expect:

Regularly engaging with clients and community members outside of the office environment. A personal vehicle, valid driver's license, and insurance are required. Providing support to clients experiencing personal or financial challenges, necessitating a high level of confidentiality and discretion. Undergoing a Criminal Record and Consumer History background check as a condition of employment, if selected.

Facilitating change adoption and fostering a high-performance culture through alignment with organizational goals. Employing critical thinking to guide decision-making and strategically adjusting business plans in response to evolving priorities.

To Join Our Team:

3-5 years of management experience in the insurance sector or a related field. Post-secondary education in a relevant discipline. Possession of a Life license and a General Insurance license, with a Mutual Funds license considered an asset. Completion or progress towards one of the following professional designations: CFP, CLU, CHFC, or an accredited Financial Planning Designation.

Expected Salary Range: $80,000 - $90,000 + Variable Pay
