DNEG is seeking an Organic Modeller specializing in Facial Modelling for a 4-month contract. Organic Modellers at DNEG work closely with various teams to create high-quality digital assets for VFX films. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of anatomy and proportions to create realistic and visually stunning 3D models.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed organic 3D models using industry-standard software such as Maya and ZBrush.
- Translate concepts and reference materials into accurate 3D models.
- Collaborate with team members to iterate and refine models based on feedback.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends to improve modeling quality.
- Assist in creating textures, shaders, and materials to enhance model realism.
About You:
- Detail-oriented and collaborative team player.
- Willingness to learn new skills and techniques.
- Resourceful and able to work under pressure.
- Passionate about creatures and anatomy.
Requirements:
- Strong spatial awareness and eye for detail.
- Working knowledge of Maya, Houdini, and other modeling software.
- Experience with Mudbox, Z-brush, and Wrap4D.
- Understanding of facial anatomy and blendshape methodology.
- Experience with 3D scan data and facial rigging.
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of Linux and Windows.
- Experience in VFX for TV or Games.
- At least 5 years of experience in modeling for films or TV.
- Scripting skills in Python.
The base salary range for this position is competitive and determined by skills and experience. DNEG is a global VFX and animation company with offices worldwide.
