Risk Control Specialist

Ecclesiastical Insurance Group is seeking a highly skilled Risk Control Specialist to join our National Risk Control Team in Calgary, Weston Region. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to control and reduce them, ensuring the health and safety of our customers and protecting their property.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct risk control inspections and building valuations to identify potential risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
- Produce high-quality written reports on inspection findings, risk management, and valuation results, adhering to company guidelines and procedures.
- Develop and implement risk control plans to prevent injury and protect property, working closely with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Consult with customers on child protection protocols and audit compliance, providing expert guidance and support.
- Provide effective communication and liaison with internal and external customers, ensuring seamless collaboration and issue resolution.
- Offer technical support, including training and education, to internal and external customers on risk management and control best practices.
- University degree or college diploma in a relevant field, such as risk management, insurance, or a related discipline.
- Completion of relevant designations, such as CRM (Canadian Risk Management) and CIP (Chartered Insurance Professional).
- Technical training in risk control, including RMS School and related fire protection programs, construction, security, and other relevant areas.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management, insurance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in computer applications, with a willingness to learn new technologies and skills.
- In-depth technical and engineering knowledge of risk control practices, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a strong attention to detail.
- Able to operate according to Ecclesiastical's ethical values, conduct, service standards, and product quality.
- Adaptable, with a positive outlook, and a strong ability to build and maintain partnerships and networks internally and externally.
- Proven self-starter, with the ability to meet strict deadlines and work independently.
- Must be available and willing to travel within an assigned region to perform risk control and valuation functions, as well as visit regional offices as required.
- Must have a personal vehicle, valid driving license, and insurance for business purposes, in accordance with Ecclesiastical's Vehicle and Mileage Policy.
