The Role

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring preventative maintenance is done regularly and providing troubleshooting of equipment to minimize downtime.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and troubleshoot process equipment problems to minimize downtime and recommend solutions.
  • Develop and modify CNC programs for new development programs and engineering changes to existing programs.
  • Train production operators on the operation, set-up, safety, and maintenance of CNC machines.
  • Develop CNC fixturing and tooling, work instructions, and PM schedules for CNC machines and other equipment.
  • Continually maintain and optimize the Preventative Maintenance Program.
  • Support production personnel on engineering-related issues when necessary.
  • Support lean manufacturing initiatives.
  • Measure and strategize to maximize machine uptime.
  • Optimize existing manufacturing processes to reduce cost, improve sustainability, boost productivity, quality, and profitability through new fixture/tool design and/or new technologies.
  • Adhere to all requirements of the Quality Management System.
  • Demonstrate company values, work with integrity, and be a supportive corporate member.
  • Comply with Health & Safety policies and inform management of unsafe working conditions.
  • Ability to use a CMMS.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years' experience in mechanical/electro-mechanical maintenance/installation.
  • Working knowledge of CNC machines.
  • Knowledge and excellent use of general office computer software (Microsoft Word, Excel, Google App Suite).
  • Ability to read and verify technical drawings.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Travel between Canadian locations as required.
