We are looking for a skilled Disability Benefits Coordinator to enhance our operations at People Corporation.
The Disability Benefits Coordinator will play a vital role in addressing inquiries from members regarding their benefit plans and will be responsible for evaluating claims related to WI benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Examine claims for WI benefits, including necessary Employee and Physician Statements.
- Evaluate and adjudicate new WI claims.
- Facilitate weekly claims payments.
- Manage weekly direct deposit transactions for WI claims.
- Draft correspondence for approved or denied WI claims.
- Request further information when necessary.
- Follow up with Plan Members as needed.
- Assist members through various communication channels with inquiries about their benefit plans (disability, eligibility, etc.).
- Support Trustees with their inquiries.
- Forward Long Term Disability (LTD) applications to the relevant insurers.
- Compile disability reports for Trustee meetings.
To excel as a Disability Benefits Coordinator with People Corporation, candidates should possess:
- 3-5 years of experience in an office setting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong organizational and time management abilities.

- Prior experience in claims processing.
- Knowledge of Short Term Disability/WI.
