Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operator to join our team at Colas Western Canada Inc. in Crescent Valley, BC.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load materials from stockpiles to designated areas and trucks.
  • Operate a wash plant to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  • Operate heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
  • Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment and perform routine maintenance tasks.
  • Ensure facilities are clean and tidy.
  • Maneuver heavy equipment into loading and unloading positions.
  • Adhere to company safety protocols and participate in safety training.
Requirements
  • Demonstrate attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Valid class 5 driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs or more and work in extreme weather conditions.
  • First Aid and WHMIS certificates are an asset.
  • Pass pre-employment drug and alcohol testing.
Working Conditions

This is a seasonal full-time position (April-November) with overtime, weekends, and variable schedules as needed.
