Senior Underwriter, Professional Liability and Design Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Underwriter to join our team in a rapidly growing and dynamic segment. The ideal candidate will have extensive underwriting experience in Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Architects & Engineers Professional Liability, policy development, broker management in the respective line(s) of business.
Key Responsibilities:- Partner with department leaders to evaluate the current book of business and set a short- and long-term course of action.
- Ensure the achievement of continued profitability and growth of the portfolio by underwriting new and renewal submissions.
- Work with agents and brokers to identify targeted accounts and increase opportunities in preferred classes of business and segments.
- Proactively advise, assist, service, and follow up with clients and brokers on insurance and risk management matters.
- Collaborate with underwriters, actuaries, and claims staff to provide insight on complex risks.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and RRIs to improve profitability of the portfolio.
- Effectively manage relationships with clients and broker partners to drive new business and renewal retention.
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) required; professional designations preferred.
- Extensive underwriting experience in Miscellaneous Professional Liability and Architects & Engineers Professional Liability, policy development, broker management in the respective line(s) of business.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, communication, networking, marketing, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain relationships with customers, producers, and brokers.
