Production Meat Specialist

Are you enthusiastic about the art of butchery and eager to contribute to a dynamic team? We are seeking a dedicated Production Butcher to enhance our Meat department at Pasquier Grocery Market.

This position offers full-time hours (40 hours/week) with a flexible schedule that may include daytime, evening, and weekend shifts. Part-time opportunities are also available, depending on the candidate's schedule. We welcome retirees to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, cut, and process a variety of meats
  • Season and marinate meat products
  • Ensure proper stocking of merchandise in refrigeration units
  • Collaborate on the development of new meat products
  • Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations as well as workplace health and safety standards (WHMIS)
  • Maintain cleanliness of the work area and equipment

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Completion of a DEP in retail butchery
  • Previous experience in a butchery role
  • Certification or training in food hygiene and safety (preferred)
  • Familiarity with various meat cuts
