Seeking Experienced Tax Preparer

We're looking for a skilled Tax Preparer to join our team at Select People Solutions. As a Tax Preparer, you'll play a crucial role in helping individuals and small businesses navigate tax season with ease.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare accurate and timely tax returns for personal and small business clients
  • Offer guidance on tax-related questions and explain complex information in a clear and concise manner
  • Identify tax-saving opportunities and provide personalized recommendations
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws to ensure the best advice for clients
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Proven experience in preparing tax returns, with a strong understanding of Alberta's tax regulations
  • Familiarity with electronic tax filing systems
  • Ability to communicate complex tax matters in a simple and clear way
  • Technologically proficient and experienced with tax preparation, accounting, spreadsheet, and e-signature software
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
Bonus Points:
  • Experience using Taxprep, Intuit ProConnect Tax, Lacerte, Pro Series, or UFile
  • Certified Tax Preparer (CTP) certification or other relevant accounting/bookkeeping education
