- Maintain Mechanical Ventilation and Client Transport Services: Ensure the proper functioning of mechanical ventilation equipment and transport clients as needed.
- Provide General Respiratory Therapeutic Services: Administer medications, perform respiratory tests, and provide other general respiratory therapeutic services as required.
- Evaluate Client Respiratory Care Plans: Assess client respiratory care plans and make recommendations for improvement.
- Perform Various Other Tests and Diagnostic Procedures: Conduct respiratory tests and diagnostic procedures as required.
- Maintain Technical Support for Respiratory Equipment: Ensure the proper functioning of respiratory equipment and provide technical support as needed.
- Educate Clients and Staff on Respiratory Equipment and Management: Educate clients and staff on the proper use and management of respiratory equipment.
- Draft Correspondence, Reports, and Maintain Professional Records: Prepare correspondence, reports, and maintain professional records as required.
- Access Respiratory Status to Treat Patients Accordingly: Assess client respiratory status and make recommendations for treatment.
- Education: Bachelor's degree with a designation in Respiratory Therapy or diploma in Respiratory Therapy.
- Experience: Preferably with experience in an acute care setting.
- Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensing with the College of Allied Health Professionals of Prince Edward Island.
- Skills: Demonstrated skills in program planning, excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Work Record: Good previous work and attendance record.
