We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Scientist to join our team at Amazon Development Centre Canada ULC. As a Senior Data Scientist, you will play a key role in helping us craft the future of how Amazonians access customer data.
Key Responsibilities- Extract insights and clarity from noisy, unstructured data arriving in high-volumes.
- Scientifically test ways to find, measure and long-term solve potential security problems using endpoint telemetry both historical and in real-time.
- Lead the charge in establishing new techniques to apply Machine Learning and statistical methods to real-time Data Loss Prevention controls that balance speed (microseconds to milliseconds for inference) with accuracy (we deal with billions a day).

- 5+ years of data querying languages (e.g. SQL), scripting languages (e.g. Python) or statistical/mathematical software (e.g. R, SAS, Matlab, etc.) experience.
- 4+ years of data scientist experience.
- Experience with statistical models e.g. multinomial logistic regression.
- 2+ years of data visualization using AWS QuickSight, Tableau, R Shiny, etc. experience.
- Experience managing data pipelines.
- Experience as a leader and mentor on a data science team.
