Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our Finance team at one of our operating companies in Vancouver. This position combines accounting and administrative responsibilities to ensure the financial health and compliance of our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Handle subcontractor and supplier invoices, including setting up new vendors.
- Oversee and manage company payroll.
- Manage profit and loss statements.
- Analyze financial data and assist in making financial recommendations.
- Conduct routine data entry for accounting records, invoicing, and billing.
- Issue bills/invoices to customers and set up new customer accounts.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing tasks.
- Complete bank reconciliations.
- Maintain financial documents using an appropriate filing system.
- Deposit cheques at the bank.
- Assist in audits as required.
- Coordinate effectively with team members, other departments, customers, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Provide courteous customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
- 4+ years' experience in a financial controller role.
- Proficient in bank reconciliations and bookkeeping tasks.
- Experience managing payroll.
- Strong interpersonal, customer service, and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Expertise in accounting software (QuickBooks, Microsoft Dynamics).
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field is essential.
Salary: $80,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
