Team Overview

As a Senior IT Solutions Specialist, you will be pivotal in shaping and managing our DevOps framework, with a primary focus on enhancing development workflows, both for internal operations and user-facing activities. Your role will encompass proactive capacity oversight and event surveillance.

In this capacity, you will serve as the technical authority, mentor, and escalation point for related issues, while also engaging in daily operational tasks. We seek an individual who is enthusiastic about IT and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily operations including requests, incidents, changes, and project assignments;
  • Engage in maintenance tasks as per team requirements, occasionally outside standard business hours;
  • Provide technical support to Level 1 and 2 teams for complex challenges;
  • Collaborate closely with the cybersecurity team to ensure alignment with best practices, including implementation, monitoring, and action;
  • Contribute to the provider selection process and budget management;
  • Ensure that documentation is comprehensive and current.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related discipline, or equivalent experience;
  • A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in designing and deploying IT solutions;
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience within a DevOps setting;
  • 3-5 years of experience with Linux operating systems;
  • Familiarity with open-source infrastructure as code and configuration management tools such as Terraform and Ansible;
  • Solid understanding of core CI/CD and DevOps principles;
  • Experience with version control systems like Gitlab for deploying infrastructure and applications;
  • Extensive experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or comparable public cloud infrastructures;
  • Strong expertise in Kubernetes or general containerized application management and orchestration;
  • Experience with security technologies commonly used in dynamic infrastructure environments (e.g., HashiCorp Vault);
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL database management (MongoDB, MySQL);
  • Proficient in website management aspects such as DNS services and certificate management;
  • Adept at quickly learning and mastering new technologies;
  • Skilled in incident identification and response, troubleshooting, and providing timely user support;
  • In-depth understanding of IT infrastructure components, including operating systems, databases, storage, networks, and containers;
  • Experience in coaching and mentoring team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Cortex is a significant advantage;
  • Prior experience in the gaming industry and knowledge of game development workflows is a plus;
  • Experience with the Atlassian production suite (Jira, Confluence);
  • Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware vSphere).
