About the Role:
The Payroll Administrator is a key member of our team, responsible for processing bi-weekly payroll for over 600 union, non-union, and hourly employees. This role requires a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Process payroll for over 600 employees, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies, including T4-related inquiries.
- Maintain personnel files, including new hires, re-hires, rate changes, and personal information updates.
- Process terminations and ROE's, as well as communicate Time and Attendance errors to the Team Lead.
- Reconcile and report payroll data, including union dues and seniority reports.
- Provide training and support for new salaried staff on payroll and Time and Attendance systems.
- Stay up-to-date with Employment Standards, union collective agreements, and company policies.
- Canadian Payroll Association PCP certification or working towards designation.
- Minimum 2 years full-cycle payroll experience in a high-volume environment with union and non-union, hourly payroll.
- Experience using ADP Workforce Now is considered an asset.
- Acceptable security and criminal record check.
