About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at Scona Electric Inc. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for testing and observing electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment, troubleshooting and repairing electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Equipment Testing and Repair: Test and observe electrical and mechanical conditions of equipment to identify areas for improvement and repair.
  • Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot and repair electric motors, transformers, switchgear, generators, and other electro-mechanical equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • On-Site Servicing and Repair: Perform on-site servicing and repair of equipment to minimize downtime and ensure efficient operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Test repaired motors, transformers, switchgear, or other electrical apparatus to ensure proper performance and quality.
Support for Diverse Groups
  • Newcomer and Refugee Support: Support the social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees by facilitating access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Youth Support: Offer on-the-job training tailored to youth to help them develop skills and gain work experience.
  • Indigenous Support: Provide mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for Indigenous workers to support their career development.
  • Mature Worker Support: Offer mentorship, coaching, and/or networking opportunities for mature workers to help them transition to new roles.
  • Visible Minority Support: Provide mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees to support their career advancement.
