About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Small Business Advisor to join our team in Slave Lake, AB.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of the small business market, including financial statements, risk management policies, and legal documentation. They will also have excellent business development techniques, organizational skills, and the ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a portfolio of high-value and complex small business owner relationships to achieve retention and negotiated goals.
  • Develop relationships with various Centres of Influence to create a strong presence within the local business community.
  • Proactively engage with new and existing clients to build strong, ongoing relationships and provide comprehensive advice.
  • Partner with fellow advisors to create a customer-centric environment.

Requirements:

  • Results-oriented attitude and sound knowledge of the small business market.
  • Excellent business development techniques and conversance with small business legal structures and life cycles.
  • Good organizational skills and flexibility to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
  • Strong relationship builder and communicator with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Education in a business-related discipline or equivalent work experience as a small business owner.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
