About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pet Retreat Manager to join our team at Diamond in the Ruff Pet Retreat. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our facility, ensuring the highest level of care and service for our canine guests.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operational Management
    • Direct and control daily operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and activities.
    • Evaluate daily operations to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
    • Plan and organize daily operations, including staff scheduling and resource allocation.
  • Staff Supervision
    • Hire, train, and supervise staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to provide exceptional care and service.
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Facility Management
    • Clean and disinfect cages, pens, aquariums, kennels, runs, stalls, and enclosures to maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Perform general farm duties, including animal grooming and monitoring animal behavior.
  • Business Development
    • Develop and implement policies and procedures for staff, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
    • Plan and control budget and inventory, ensuring efficient use of resources.
    • Manage contracts for advertising and marketing strategies, promoting the facility and its services.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • College/CEGEP diploma or equivalent in a related field.
    • 5 years or more of experience in a similar role, preferably in a pet care or animal training environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
    • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
    • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
