Route Driver Shred Specialist

Job Summary:
The Shred-it Route Driver is a critical role within Stericycle, responsible for providing exceptional service to clients while ensuring the safe and secure destruction of confidential documents. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform onsite and offsite document destruction of confidential information, ensuring all materials are handled and disposed of in accordance with company policy and local regulations.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip checks on assigned vehicles, reporting any maintenance issues to the Transportation/Dispatcher team.
- Operate equipment safely and efficiently, minimizing the risk of injury and equipment damage.
- Comply with all local, provincial, and federal laws governing driver fitness and hours of service.
- Complete and maintain DOT logs as required.
- Manage assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate service to clients.
- Handle and respond to customer inquiries and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in route management, driving shred trucks, and/or box trucks.
- Current driver's license (Class DZ or equivalent) and a clean driving record.
- Availability for overnights, as required.
