Job Title: Permanent Journeyman Carpenter

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Carpenter to join our team at School District #59 (Peace River South). As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform carpentry tasks, including repairs, renovations, and new construction projects
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with safety protocols
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to achieve team goals and objectives
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the longevity of our facilities
Requirements:
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate
  • Experience with adapting and modifying curriculum to meet student needs
  • Strong literacy and numeracy skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Capacity to use performance standards in social responsibility

  • Relocation allowance up to $2,000 for out-of-district applicants
  • Northern travel allowance up to $4,000
