Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Produce Clerk to join our team at Calgary Co-op. As a key member of our Produce team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a high level of product quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide customer service and maintain positive customer relations through the proper handling of customer questions, comments, requests, and complaints.
  • Effectively work in a diverse team environment in a proficient and friendly manner.
  • Perform all aspects of the Produce Clerk function, including culling, stocking, displays, and facing in an efficient and organized manner. Ensure display presentation and stock levels are maintained.
  • Handle merchandise, ensuring quality, minimizing damages and markdowns. Provide substitutions and ensure price integrity, including price changes.
  • Perform general clean-up duties, such as cleaning spills and display fixtures to ensure a neat and organized store environment.
Requirements
  • Grade 9 or an acceptable combination of education and experience.
  • Related retail experience, including the provision of customer service.
  • Must be fluent in English (CLBA - Canadian Language Benchmark Assessment score of 5 or higher).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Receiving, counter set-up, and product knowledge/experience.
  • Knowledge of ordering merchandise and supplies, and related procedures.
