Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Temporary Full-Time Intermediate Teacher to join our team at Charlie Lake Elementary School. As a member of our school community, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach intermediate-level subjects to students in a semi-rural school setting
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that cater to diverse learning needs
  • Use universal design and differentiation techniques to enhance student engagement and understanding
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to ensure a smooth and successful school year
Requirements
  • Valid BC Ministry of Education Teaching Certificate (or eligible for)
  • Qualifications and demonstrated ability to teach intermediate-level subjects
  • Experience with universal design and differentiation techniques
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience/training/knowledge of Social Emotional Learning
  • Demonstrated ability to create a positive classroom community
  • Strong belief in the philosophy of inclusion and the potential of all students to learn
  • Understanding of the BC Curriculum and ability to plan both short-term and long-term
