Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Resident Care (DOC), the Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to residents and overseeing the care provided by staff.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver nursing care to residents in accordance with established policies, physician's orders, and resident care plans, while adhering to the RN scope of practice.
• Order, receive, and administer prescribed medications and treatments following the standards set by the Ontario College of Nurses.
• Monitor and assess residents' conditions, reporting any changes in physical or mental status.
• Develop, implement, evaluate, and modify resident care plans as necessary.
Qualifications:
• Registered Nurse in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Preferred: BSc N and experience in long-term care or rehabilitation.
• Strong leadership and supervisory abilities.
• Completed police record check, including vulnerable sector screening.
