Job Title: Service Technician

Bouchier is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team in the Athabasca Oil Sands region. As a Service Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and highway trucks, ensuring they are in top working condition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct pre-trip safety inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazards Assessments.
  • Operate a lube truck safely and efficiently.
  • Perform full services on equipment, including changing filters, fluids, and taking samples as per maintenance schedule.
  • Check and adjust fluid levels of mobile mining equipment.
  • Apply grease to non-auto-lube locations and refill auto lubrication systems.
  • Proactively identify repairs needed and report any unsafe conditions.
  • Deliver fuel and lube to equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs to grease points.
  • Keep accurate logs of fuel and lube distribution.
  • Track and maintain inventory of service kits, lubes, and other supplies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous service technician experience required.
  • Minimum one-year open pit mining experience.
  • Minimum two years' experience in equipment servicing.
  • Class 5 driver's license with 'Q' endorsement and a clean drivers abstract.
  • CSTS and OSSA Regional Orientation or OSSA BSO (Basic Safety Orientation before December 31, 2018) or CSO (Common Safety Orientation after January 1, 2019).
  • Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Good written and oral communication skills.
