We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Officer to join our team at Toronto Maple Star Academy Inc.
Job SummaryThe Financial Officer will be responsible for managing the financial operations of the school, including financial planning, budgeting, and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities- Financial Planning: Develop and implement financial plans to ensure the school's financial stability and growth.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports to management and the board of directors.
- Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Accounting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
- Payroll: Process payroll and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Taxation: Prepare and submit tax returns and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in financial management or accounting.
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint.
The Financial Officer will work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and will be required to work independently with minimal supervision.
Personal Suitability- Efficient Interpersonal Skills: The ability to work effectively with staff, students, and external stakeholders.
- Work Term: Permanent.
- Work Language: English.
- Hours: 30 hours per week.
