Job Title: Bookkeeper

We are seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team at Northern Cultural Expressions Society. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, journals, and other financial documents.
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Accounting Standards Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in bookkeeping or a related field.
  • Skills: MS Excel, Quick Books, MS Office, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Work Environment:

Our office is located in a convenient location with free parking available. We offer a permanent position with 32 to 37.5 hours per week.
