The Service Technician position at Akhurst Machinery is a critical function in delivering exceptional support to our customers for their machinery. As a member of the service team, you will be responsible for installing, training, and servicing various equipment lines in a designated territory. Responsibilities

The Service Technician will be involved in:

Equipment Servicing

  • Assembling and installing new equipment to ensure optimal performance;
  • Repairing and upgrading machinery to maintain efficiency and safety standards;
  • Maintaining knowledge of industry best practices and safety protocols;
  • Ordering parts and managing inventory to minimize downtime;
  • Resolving service issues effectively to meet customer expectations.

Customer Support

  • Delivering equipment demonstrations and training to customers to enhance their experience;
  • Ensuring customer satisfaction through follow-up and feedback;
  • Completing necessary documentation accurately to maintain records.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a service technician in a similar industry;
  • Certification in a relevant field to demonstrate expertise;
  • Strong technical skills in machinery installation and maintenance;
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to interact with customers and colleagues;
  • Customer-oriented and organized to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Working Environment

  • Travel may be required to service equipment in various locations;
  • Flexible working hours to accommodate customer needs and equipment schedules;
  • Ability to work with focus and attention to detail to ensure quality service;
  • Capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently to meet customer expectations.
