Job SummaryWe are seeking highly skilled HVAC Application Mechanical Engineer Technologists to join our growing team in the Design and Engineering department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for reviewing plans, specifications, and bid documents, with a focus on controls and HVAC fundamentals. Your expertise will be essential in selecting mechanical and hydronic components, and you will work closely with agents, consulting engineers, contractors, and facility owners to deliver high-quality projects.
Key Responsibilities- Review and analyze plans, specifications, and bid documents to ensure compliance with industry standards and company requirements.
- Apply HVAC fundamentals and knowledge of HVAC systems for commercial and industrial buildings to design and engineer efficient and effective solutions.
- Select and specify mechanical and hydronic components, considering factors such as performance, cost, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including agents, consulting engineers, contractors, and facility owners, to deliver projects on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to ensure seamless communication and project success.
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering, with a focus on controls and mechanical systems.
- Strong understanding of HVAC fundamentals, including system design, selection, and installation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
