Nova Scotia Health Authority's Senior's Health Care Program is seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologist (PhD) to join our team at Camp Hill Long Term Care. This role focuses on providing comprehensive psychological services to veterans and residents, contributing to their well-being and quality of life.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough individual assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients.
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapies tailored to the unique needs of elderly individuals.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and social workers, to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Contribute to program development and evaluation initiatives aimed at enhancing senior care services.

Your Qualifications:

  • Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university.
  • Completion of a one-year clinical pre-doctoral internship.
  • Registration or eligibility for registration with the Nova Scotia Board of Examiners in Psychology (NSBEP).
  • Demonstrated experience working with elderly populations and expertise in clinical health psychology.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to formulate diagnoses and treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration within a team environment.

Assets:

  • Competencies in clinical research, program evaluation, and supervision of psychology trainees.
  • Fluency in French is an asset.

Compensation:

$62.74 Hourly. Eligible for a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and pension plan.
