YOUR FUTURE ROLE
The SAP Government Security division is seeking a National Security Technology Expert to oversee security initiatives and aid in expanding capabilities that cater to the specific needs of security-sensitive entities within the public sector and regulated industries in Canada. You will cultivate robust relationships with governmental bodies and work alongside customer security teams, internal staff, and partners to ensure a mutual understanding of requirements, support client interactions, and deliver projects effectively. You will be responsible for ensuring rigorous adherence to relevant government regulations and specific customer security demands, executing security projects either as a project leader or as a key contributor within a collaborative delivery team.
Key responsibilities include:
- Enhance SAP Canada's proficiency in managing Protected and Classified information.
- Offer expert insights, advice, and guidance regarding Canadian IT Security Guideline 33 (ITSG-33) controls.
- Develop and maintain high-quality documentation essential for certification maintenance.
- Design and uphold technological solutions that facilitate project delivery and meet unique customer security needs.
- Take a leading role in developing technological solutions for Digital Sovereignty, including Cloud Data Protection Architectures, Data Security, Accountability, and Privacy technologies.
- Engage as a contributing member in international information exchanges to share best practices.
- Ensure internal reporting is maintained and that employees receive necessary security briefings.
- Be part of SAP Canada's Government Security team and act as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO).

- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong sense of initiative
- Extensive experience in delivering technology projects.
- Familiarity with IaaS/PaaS cloud technologies such as OpenStack, AWS, Google, or Azure.
- Experience with classified systems within the last five years.
- Significant experience in implementing and/or managing security controls.
- Knowledge of RCMP physical security standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A collaborative spirit and a team-oriented mindset.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of government security regulations.
- Familiarity with the Canadian Program for Cyber Security Certification (CP-CSC) or the US Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) is advantageous.
- Knowledge of government security regulations outside Canada is a plus.
- The ideal candidate must be able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance successfully. An existing Government of Canada security clearance is preferred.
-Proficient in English (both verbal and written)
